Issues with upload and resizing

Hi all,

I seem not to be able to get the resizer (GD2) function to work properly.

I used Subah's steps as below

AdminCP -> vbGallery -> Modify Settings
--- Uploading Options
--- Save Original Files (Yes)

Then,

AdminCP -> vbGallery -> Edit Filetypes

Change all dimensions to 800x600

Now, to resize all of your current images, while keeping the originals:

AdminCP -> vbGallery -> Maintenance
--- Rebuild Image Sizes (Normal Images)

However now i can't upload largere images than 800 x 600? The if i change the dimension to say 3000x3000 then i have no problems upload 2048x 1536 etc but then the resizer doesn't work..

What am i doing wrong.?

what is the error you get?

The main problem with GD2 as a processor is it is part of PHP and can mean that it can cause php to crash as it steals all the memory to process an image. Only rememdy is to try giving PHP more memory.

We have so many problems with our host, they don't want to expand our memory, so we have decided to find a new host.....
