Is there a way to enable e-cards for a specific folder?

We have a scrapbooking gallery on our site for members to show their pictures. We would like to add an e-card section and have it enabled ONLY to that section, so members cannot send people's layout as an e-card, just the images in that specific folder?

There would be no way to do that without code modification in some way as ecards is a global thing.

could I do a seperate photopost gallery then? or is there an existing module I could add?

well the change you need to make is pretty minor say you setup one category and its numeric id is 520 for EXAMPLE

In showphoto.php to show only the ecard link to any photo in only that category this line
