Can I have 2 installs of VBGallery?
I'd like to have 2 separate installs. Is it possible in one domain and different folders?

.com/gallery/ & .com/events/

If you want 2 installs you must purchase another license.

No sorry you can not have two different vbgalleries attached to the same forum. Now with photopost pro you can do that.
