Photos not being auto-added to member's gallery?

Hi there,

using PhotoPost vBGallery v2.4.3 with vb3.7.1

Can upload to Categories just fine but the photos aren't automatically added to the member's gallery as I thought they should be? Can't find any setting to do it either?

Thanks!

There is not an option to show all images of a user in 1 category automatically. (yet) , but I know PhotoPost Pro has this option.

One thing that can be done is to enable the profile options per usergroup. This will integrate statistics and a use movable image block in the profile of the member that uploaded.

Admincp => vBGallery => Usergroup Permissions
- [select usergroup]
-- Can view profile tab
-- Can view profile block
-- Can change profile block settings

Profile Enhancements
  • User CP control over the image block in the member profile. (active, 9 locations, image size, extra image info, count)
  • In the "Statistics Tab" - added gallery field (media count, comment count, last upload with link, last comment with link)
  • Gallery Tab added: media count, comment count, last upload with link, last comment with link, total views, total sticky,
total votes, disk space, last 30 added favorites w/ link , last 30 added subscriptions w/ link.
  • Gallery usergroup permissions: Can view profile tab (yes/no), Can view profile block (yes/no), Can change profile block settings (yes/no)
  • Added media count to Mini Statistics block

Hi there,

ok thanks at least I know I'm not doing anything wrong.

I guess it's been a question asked before but, what would I lose by just going with photopost pro instead of vbgallery?

How could I do it? would I have to remove vbgallery somehow? or just install photopost pro?

Thanks!
Keith

You would need to remove vbgallery and install Photopost Pro if you wanted this functionality.

Is there a simple uninstall script or something for vbgallery?

Yes if you run the vbgallery install like you did when you installed it then you can select uninstall

You may need to delete all the files
