Exclamation Strange problem with file ownership

Photos upload perfectly in FTP and can view them fine, but in the gallery or a photo link, they dont load.

the path is correct, and its uploading the files correctly to the right folder - it looks like the problem is that the gallery is uploading the file as ownership "apache", rather than being owned by "skyline"

is there anyway to change this so when the file saves, it saves as the right owner?

thanks

please post a link to your site and explain what you mean by they dont show? Files owned by apache should not be an issue thats a common thing on alot of servers where the server processes things.

I also noticied in the "files" folder, the thumbnails are showing up at "644" and images as "777"

not sure if this has any influence on things but I cant change the thumbnails chmod to "777" - smart ftp says "Operation not permitted"

Also is there any particular reason why your using the safe mode switch? If safe mode is off on your server you should turn this off.
