How do I use sub-folders in bulk upload

You can mass upload via. FTP.

FTP User Folder URL
The URL to your user's upload folder (used for FTP uploads)

If your usergroup has access to upload from the server and upload as another user (default for Admins)

On the upload page in the gallery.

Quote:
Bulk Upload options
- Upload files directly from the server
Files should be in: /home/public_html/gallery/users/1
My user ID is 1 on my site.
I made a folder 1 for that user id and CHMOD 777.

When mass-importing please fill out the default fields on the upload page.

Image Title: - Leave this blank it will grab the filename
Description:
Category:
Keywords:
User Name: - make sure the username is correct

These fields will auto fill in per image vs. having to fill out each image or leaving it blank.

How do I use sub-folders in bulk upload

I am due to be dealing with thousands of photos per week. Is there any way to get the bulk upload feature to read into sub folders at all? Preferably at infinite levels, but at least 1 level would do as I could at least organise them by date then.

Really hope someone can help

Cheers,
Dave

Or, as another option, could the system MOVE the files into another folder with a unique id and then process them from there at all? It may be easier?

So users uploads files to userid folder.
Goes to bulk import
Script grabs files and moves them to a newly created directory
carrys on as normal from the new folder

Any chance of that? That way I can integrate this with my new java uploader
