Does posting in public galleries count toward user's MB usage?

Does posting in public galleries count toward user's MB usage? If so, is there any way to make the public uploads "free" for the user?

Does anyone actually read these things? It does feel like PhotoPost VBGallery is the red-headed step-child of PhotoPost, and I'm starting to feel like I made a bad decision in choosing it over its more robust cousin.

Any photo upload to your gallery to any category is going to count against a user diskspace quota you set and unless you hack your code this would not change.

I had some thoughts to make a category option to be exempt on upload amounts. I have not started it yet.
