Watermarking Problem...

Hi,

I currently had this feature working before my database screwed up... i just restored a backup etc.. everything seems to work fine apart from this feature..

How can i get this to work? i don't even know what is wrong if it was working before...

I have the FULL URL path to the logo.png file and i have set the YES option for...

Permanently Watermark Images
Set this option to 'Yes' if you would like to permanently watermark your images. If set to 'No' your uploaded images will not be modified. Please note that this option requires the GD library.

What do i do now? even in the categories.. when i clicked edit, by default it has a tick for the watermark section so it should show up on my images but it doesn't.

Please help as this is a very important feature for my website.

Just to make sure you are covering all bases, have you checked each category to make sure EVERY usergroup is checked to have their images watermarked?

yeh, everything is setup perfectly but still not showing the watermark.

Nothing was changed in the settings either. Iv double checked everything a few times now and im getting annoyed as to why it doesn't work.

Ok check this...

I have uploaded new photos into the system.. the latest photos i just added now has the watermark logo...

All the previous photos i have doesn't have the watermark logo... Why is this? and how do i fix this?

Great you got it going
Now you should be able to watermark the rest.

AdminCP => vBGallery => Maintenance
- Watermark Files

I did according to your instruction

I didn't give this path "/full/path/to/watermark.png"

I chosed GD 2 and went to maintance and Watermark files

But when I went to my Gallery and checked the photos nothing appear?



Am I missing something here?

hi, im having watermark issues again

these are my current settings see picture

Content visible to verified customers only.

.png image properly uploaded to directory you see on the image

this setting was working, it was permanently watermarking my images, but now it stopped working, kind of! sometimes, it will parmanently watermark an image, but most of the time it doesnt watermark it.

anyone can help, i just realized this thread is in vbgallery, i have photopost pro, sorry about this, i had searched the topic to find solution and came up on this thread and didnt want to start a new thread

something is seriously wrong with my watermarking thing

i went to SCAN DATABASE > Check here to watermark unwatermarked files.
This action cannot be undone - backup your data directory and photos database! > selected ACTION SHOTS category

selected that one to test since it has only 190 pictures

system took me to another page showing all images urls and at bottom of page FINISHED

i go to my gallery, ACTION SHOTS category, check my pictures and still not all my pictures are watermarked

even after doing this!!!

this is frustrating why cant you help me on this issue is there a bug or something?

question.. are u using GD or ImageMagic? to manipulate images..
because that library is used for watermarking also..

maybe your host upgraded GD1 to GD2.. or you switched your settings by mistake..

EDIT: just seen u use photopost and not vbgallery.. sorry.. never touched photopost..
