gallery posts increase post count...
 

can someone point me in the direction of this setting... I swear it was there before but I can't find it now...

I want member images postings and comments to increase their forum post count...

I'll work on that after vbg 2.2

My members keep asking about this post count issue.
Now that 2.2 is out, what are the prospects of getting a fully summed user post count? (posts+photos+comments) :D

I have version 2.0 and there is a setting called "Count Uploads Towards User Post Counts" under Uploading Options.

Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't see that option anywhere in v2.2. :confused:

This is not something that is in 2.2.

- Post and image counts are in a separate field per user vs. combining with forum posts. This was done to keep accurate counts without requesting the data from the database each time a count was needed.

Table: user
- ppicount : images
- pppcount : posts

I'm patiently wondering about this....

Will we someday see the return of an option to have a merged post count?
Or, it is off the table for good?

Has there been any update on this? I'm running vbGallery v2.4.3 and I can't find an option for it anywhere. I'd really like image replies to count towards the users over all forum post count... if this isn't possible with a vanilla PP version then does anyone know of a modification that can do it?

forum posts and gallery image comments.. are in separate fields..
I do not think that image comments in vbulletin.. increase user postcount either..

I personnaly am against it.. because of SEO.. a forum post usually is content.. someone explaining something.. someone requiring help.. that is "food" for search engines.. but a picture comment??? 99% are "Hey dude.. nice pic!" or roooooofl etc... nothing i want to be indexed..

Photopost Pro counts uploads and comments against a user post count in a forum.

vbGallery does not have that option.

Well you do have the amounts of uploads in postbit...
or with "count against" do you meen "add them up and increase the users postcount"?

I beleive they are referring to the gallery uploads and comments increase a users forum postcount like Photopost Pro does.
