On with a new server you also have new file locations.
- PATH wise.
AdminCP => vBGallery => Modify Settings
- Title, URL's, & Paths
-- Gallery URL
-- Files URL
-- Files Path
Also do not forget to CHMOD -R the "files" location 0777.
- Recursive folders

same path. Both servers are private, so you can make sure I configured those the same.
And chmoded -R 777 entire gallery

What URL's are showing up for the broke images, and what link should be there?

Got the same problem here after moving to a new server.
I noticed that images that were mass uploaded are gone.
The images that are still working start with the userid, the ones that are gone don't.
gallery/files/1-meeting-trs-038_575036.jpg < - Working
gallery/files/Suzuki-intruder-1400018.jpg < - Broken
Strange thing is, that the images that are mass uploaded are also gone from the server but were working before i moved.

When the server is in safemode the gallery will store all images in 1 folder vs. many and rename the images with the userid. (ie. 1-image.jpg, 2-image.jpg)
If the server is not in php safemode the gallery makes a folder structure per userid and stores their images without the userid on the images.

It should be the same.
Also, where are the pictures that were mass uploaded stored?
The pictures are in the album but nowhere in the folder.
I did notice that the new server has php4 and mysql4 while the old server has php5 and mysql5.
Currently using the old server again since the new crashed.

After transfer to the new server make sure you CHMOD -R 777 your "Files Path".
When you transfered the folders where your images were held the rights on the folders become CHMOD 755.
