Links to thumbnails

Vb 3.6 Vbgallery 2.1

When I try to insert a image in a post , I click on the insert image icon, put in the path of the image, (on my server) using vbgallery the images shows up but the one that gets posted is the original file, Is there a way to give the link to the thumbnail instead??
