bbcodes are not parsed

I can't post in the bugs forum for an unknown reason, so I post it in this forum (so pardon me in advance).

In my gallery the bbcode things like [ b] and [COLOR="DarkOliveGreen" ] aren't parsed. So my visitors and members see the code instead of the actual bold or coloured text. Smilies however are working.

How do I fix that?

Was it in a post / comment on an image ?

(this is tcb: I had to re-register in order to have my memberaccount linked with my forumaccount)

Yes, it is when people reply to an image. Instead of seeing the text colourized, or bold, or... they see the bbcode around the text.

good to see your account is working now
- I do not have any reported errors.

Are you sure with your update you replace all files from the gallery package ?

What about templates that may need to be reverted ?

Exclamation

Even when someone quotes a member in the gallery, instead of the 'quote box' you simple get things like this:

[QUOTE =Lonniebealestreet]Looks fantastic, Patrick![/ QUOTE] (without the extra spaces of course).

Even the signature are messed up:

[font=Georgia ][COLOR=gray ]...you won't forget me when I go.[/ COLOR][ /FONT]

So no parsed bbcode, just plain text

COME ON!!!!

I have posted this error over half a year ago. And I am still not helped with it? IS this the support I am paying for?

None (besides the adv_gallery_categorybit_level1) gallery templates- have been edited. This error doesn't appear anywhere else on my board. So this doesn't make any sense?

I am looking in on it now w/ new install of 3.6.8 forums and 2.3 gallery.
I have not found a problem on bbcode working.

Do you have "Allow BB Code" off for posting ?
- There is a setting per category. (Posting Options)

all categories have bbcode and smilies on.

Normally there's the standard editor. When you use bbcode in that editor, you see of course the plain bbcode text, instead of it being parsed. But when I switch to the advanced editor, the bbcode is parsed. But when I save the comment and I'm re-directed to the post, the bbcode is just flat text and not parsed.

I have seen that on some outdated templates that need to be reverted.
In your template manager take a look to see if there are some gallery templates that may need to be reverted. ( ADV_GALLERY_SHOWIMAGE, ADV_GALLERY_REPLY)

Shoot me some access via PM to the AdminCP if it is still not fixed.

I have reverted the ADV_GALLERY_SHOWIMAGE template (only edit made was the one to make the quickreply box bigger after the upgrade to 3.6.8). The other template hadn't been edited, so I couldn't revert.

Still no luck though

I have sent you a PM with access to the admincp of my site

It happens using the standard reply option and using the quick-reply editor.

Even bbcode in signatures aren't parsed in the gallery (although they -obviously- work flawless elsewhere on the board).

There is a "Advanced BBCode Permissions" product installed.
- it may not have gallery support yet.

I have not looked deep into the hack, but you can stop it from running on the gallery by wrapping a plugin with:

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
With a little troubleshooting the gallery fix may be a few tweaks.

Talking

I disabled the hack and bbcode is parsed as it should.

Thank you sooo much. And I apologize for consuming so much time, since the error didn't had to do with vbgallery after all.

I really appreciate your help
