Image re-sizing?

Is this admin option available in PhotoPost vBGallery or just in Pro?

"If photo upload width or height exceeds maximums, resize upload down to max dimensions?"

I'm using vBGallery... haven't seen any image re-sizing capabilities.

Thanks!

If your image width or height for a category is set and a larger image uploads the gallery should auto-resize.

I do have image size limits set, but the images do not automatically re-size on upload. An error message is issued... "The file that you have tried to attach is too big. The maximum size is 307200 bytes."

Are there any other settings that need to be changed?

Thanks again

Found the answer and thought I would pass this along since neither PhotoPost Pro or PhotoPost vBGallery resize photos the way we sometimes think...

"The only time the photo is "resized" is when the height and width of the photo exceed the height and width restrictions. If the filesize of the photo exceeds the filesize restrictions, the photo is not "resized," instead the upload is halted."

I'll take a look @ that and see what can be done.

Thanks for taking a look Zachariah… I appreciate your help. The users on my forum and gallery in general are not very sophisticated and don’t know how to resize their images before uploading. If the gallery software could automatically resize the photo – both dimensions and file size – that would be awesome.

well this must just pertain to vbgallery cause in Pro if an image is smaller in dimension the photos is simply uploaded as is not touched.
