how to call userid?

I'm trying to do some custom coding for the template, and I can't seem to call the $userinfo[userid] anywhere in the template. I've tried $cats[userid], $post[userid], etc. but can't seem to get it.

Does anyone know how to call it? Thanks in advance.

What templates did you have in mind ?

I have the same quesiton, I need it for Memberinfo template. Any idea?

Thanks for replying. I'm trying to call it in any VBGallery Template, primarily browseimage and showimage. I've tried everything and just can't get the darn thing to work.

What user ID do you want ?
What values are you trying to get ?

- image poster ID
- post poster ID
- person looking @ the image

$imageuserid

I'm trying to call this anywhere in the browseimage template. The reason is, I'm trying to convert the drop down list "Sort By" into clickable links. I'd do that by copying the destination URL of each link, and replacing the userid with u=$userid. Yet, I can't seem to call the userid.

If theirs any alternative route to turn drop down links into clickable links, that'd be easier. I'd still be interested in the $userid function though.
