Multimedia Uploads

For some reason my members can not upload multimedia (.avi .wmv etc) over 2mb in size. As an admin, I can though. We have configured the multimedia upload file size within the admin area and made sure the php limits were all well over 100mb.

What are we doing wrong here?

Thanks

Send a message via ICQ to Delw
check you member permissions there should be a size limit on each user group or album( cant remember which) I ran into this problem a while ago and while I thought I had all my permissions correct I missed a few. drove me batty for a while

As for user permissions you need to go to your gallery admincp and adjust the "Amount of space users files may consume".

You also need to "Edit file types" under the gallery settings as well.

Checknme, are you on a dedicated or shared host? It sounds like you're getting hit with the 2mb default PHP file size limit and the post that EA linked to above generally fixes it (assuming then, of course that you also upped the limitation size in the ACP for that type of file extension).

EDIT: When you say you as an admin can, do you mean that you are able to upload a large file through the vBGallery upload interface but normal users can't or do you mean uploading through FTP?
