Uploading really large images

I uploaded a 2000 pix pic, and the gallery created the thumbnail, and when I click on the thumbnail, the 600 pix image shows up with the mouseover option to click and view the original. This made me very happy!

Now, I am trying to do it again with another image, slightly smaller than the first, but rather than create a 600pix image that fits in my forum the thumbnail goes straight to the original, which stretches the forum.

The first pic that I tried worked, and it even gave two seperate links so that users can choose the really large image, or the smaller one that is 600pix wide. The second pic doesn't create a link for a mid-size image. I have been all over in my menu trying to figure this one out, and I can't repeat the process that creates two different size images.

Sorry I missed your post.
Shoot me a link and some access for tests via PM.

I have not ran into this my self.
- I did a batch import of 200 images on a test server.

Dimensions: 600 x 456 (3331 x 2532)
Filesize: 270.66 KB (1.02 MB)

All is well.

Thanks for the reply; I am a goof. I had my filetypes set to 2000 pix max, so it wasn't resizing anything under that...
