| Watermark question: URGENT, please help
hey everyone.
I am planning to roll out a premium membership option and it will include a big gallery space with unlimited categories.
Currently I watermark the images with a small transparent watermark on the right bottom side.
What I would like to do is watermark any images as long as the member is NOT USERGROUP X. Basically the "premium member" usergroup.
IS that possible? It's kind of urgent, I am trying to get it rolled out the First of January as a "new year" feature. Really appreciate your help.

Paradise, currently watermark by user group is not a stock feature. As a hack you could modify displayimage.php so that the watermark logic is bypassed based upon the user group.

Kevin, thank you, but here is another question. I am not a coder, so while what you say makes sense, I dont know how to do that. IF you dont mind, can you explain either by PM or here in the thread, maybe with a code example.
Also another question while I am at it , if you dont mind. Can I have 2 member categories? How do I separate it into:
- Member Categories
- Premium Member Categories
And have it go into the folder w/their username under one of those they choose. Is that possible by just signifying two folders as "members photos" categories?

Paradise,
Sorry, I've been mostly offline lately for the holidays (... and I'm visiting now only for a few minutes before guests start arriving for a part tonight). As soon as I can I'll try to hack out the code for you. Off the top of my head it's going to be (1) change your vBG options to not permanently watermark images [if you aren't already] and then (2) hacking the displayimage.php file so that the on-the-fly watermarking is bypassed for certain groups.

Kevin, THANK you so much. I know you were busy w/the holidays (as was I ), thanks for looking into it for me. I think this is an important feature for many here, and should be considered for future versions if there are any , watermarking permissions would be an amazing addition.
