images are breaking the page

sometimes when a user upload a pic 1024x768, it breaks the page layout... it's very annoying
is there a way to make it smaller and when the user clicks on it, it opens in a new window just the pic!

is it possible?

Well set your medium threshold in upload options to something that does not break your page and in showphoto options turn on the option to show large images in a popup window

.... and don't forget to turn on the option to keep original images.

In short...

- Turn on "keep original images" if you don't already have it on
- Turn on option to show originals in a popup window
- Change your 'file types' settings so that each image type has a max size that won't break your style (I usually do 640x640 or similar).

That then will give the user the following experience...

- They see a thumbnail and click on it.
- They are then taking to the normal screen that shows the image, info', comments, etc..
- If they click on the image (or in the link in the data section) they will then be shown the original full-size image in a seperate window.

Snitz,

You want these settings

ACP => vBa Gallery => Modify Settings => Open Original in New Windows

ACP => vBa Gallery => Modify Settings => Save Original Files

ACP => vBa Gallery => Edit File Types

Just in case this doesn't work as you're expecting it to make a backup copy of your files first and then try....

ACP => vBa Gallery => Maintenance => Rebuild Images Sizes => Normal Images

Can you post the actual error? And if they are getting errors that the image size is too big then are you sure you turned on the option to keep original images?
