Question Moving from vb 3.0.8 to 3.5.x

After much discussion, if I didn't have gallery to worry about, my "upgrade" path to 3.5. woiuld be to do a fresh install of 3.5 and apply all my changes in code, templates, etc to new install and then import from org install to new install. The reason for this is to minimize the amount of time the site is actually down. I can re-install hacks, mods etc at my leisure and then only be down while I import.

So the question is, can I do something similar for the vb gallery?

You would upgrade vbulletin to 3.5 and then download gallery and install all the files and run the vbagallery_install.php file and select your upgrade option.
