Category id?

I use the code below for defining on which vbadvanced CMPS I am, I guess there is something similiar to vbgallery? I need the id for each category. Can someone help me?

Jorg, the trick is going to be where you want to use that code. For example, if while viewing an image the variable $image[catid] should exist but while you're browsing images $catid should exist.
