Smilies in Quick Reply

I posted this a few weeks ago in the hacks forum but had no response.

Over at vbulletin.org there's a new addon for the quick reply box giving a dropdown for smileys:

http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=99532

However, when you try to use it in the gallery quickrepy (showimage.php) the smileys do not appear. the icon is there but the dropdown menu is empty

I have tried moving my gallery installation to below the forum root, that doesn't help.

If you read the thread on vb.org you'll see that the author doesn't use the gallery ... I did actually give him admincp access but he was unable to find where the smilies were populated.

So I'm hoping that by posting this someone will come up with a fix ...

I have not installed his hack yet, but:
I would think for this to show up (looking @ the XML)

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
Or something to that nature. add the 'showimage' in the <if> statments. That way when the showimage.php file is clicked it runs the code that is in the plugins.

I have not looked @ the templates.

Thanks

I actually thought it would be something like that but I'm not a coder so not really sure of the right syntax.

However, it didn't work ...

My gallery is installed beneath the forums (forums/gallery/showimage.php) but even 'gallery/showimage' doesn't work

Try this instead:
Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
Zachariah must have been sleeping, because a single script can't possibly be showthread AND showimage..

That didn't work either. Although I might have done something wrong.

These are the plugin components:

This is the editor_toolbar_start hook

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
This is what I changed it to

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
and this is the cache_templates hook

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
Which I changed to this:

Code:
Content visible to verified customers only.
hmmm

I have also tried that. It makes no difference. Although on installation the image paths should be altered anyway so there shouldn't be any need.

It works fine in the main reply box, just not the quick reply

I tried to install this similar template mod instead to see if that worked ...

http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=93544

I get the smilies to appear but they are no longer clickable ...

hmmm.

I've actually started to try and work this out again, but I'm still stumped..

I tried to do it using a similar method to how I did it with vBJournal, but it won't take it.
