Upload pic message
I'd like to be able to have a message displayed that says 'The picture you are attempting to upload is too large' when either the file size is too big or the pixel size is too big
How can I do this?

It should already give you an error message if the filesize is too big, and it will resize the image if the dimensions are larger than what you allow.
