Closed Showcase Galleris and open User Gallery

I would like to set up my gallery system that way:

- There ist one User Gallery, where people can upload their stuff into their own sub-gallerys.
- But threse is also a "show case" whith seceral sub-galleries, sorted by topic, where only members of specific usergroups have the right to upload or move images into.

I tried to set up individual upload rights for each gallery, but I couldn't figure out how this works... I can only disable uploads to a gallery for everybody, but not allow certain groups to do so. In the permission editor, I couln't find an option to set up upload rights to certain galleries / categories on a usergroup level ... strange.

Can someone help me on this, please?

Did you try modifying your permissions through the 'Category Permissions' link in the admin cp?

Hm ... sometimes, a simple break helps after working for 8 hours.
I found the option now. I translated the corresponding phrase wrong, so I couldn't find it immediatley.
