Gallery Images on Forums

After reading and reading I am thoroughly confused.

How does one put random gallery images on the forum pages (and it works)?

I have seen so many threads (vbadvanced.com and vbulletin.org) involving random gallery images. Most threads start out using vb 3.0 and then someone adds questions involving 3.5 or links to other threads are added that only complicate the problem/solution.

It gets very confusing trying to figure-out what version is being discussed and who is having what problems what are the solutions.

Successes and how it was done would really be helpful.

I am using vBadvanced CMPS v2.0.0 (vB 3.5)

This is a question about hacks (which we do not officially support), not the gallery.

Have you tried the hack posted in this thread?

Thank you for the link.

However, the link exemplifies the issue. There are so many "hacks"! What is working and NOT?

Perhaps this is indicative of what needs to be added, a CMPS gallery module.
