linking images in vBulletin

When I try to insert a image in a post , I click on the insert image icon, put in the path of the image, (on my server) using vbgallery the images shows up but once I hit submit the image only shows a link, then if I click on that link it pops up a box that says do you want to save the file, displayimage.php


I had a friend post the pic on his server and the link works fine.

Mind giving an example of the actual link you're trying to insert?

When you go to that image (http://www.itsajeep.org/vBulletin/ga...ge.php?i=18247) scroll down a little bit.... there are three links shown. To display the image inside of your thread you want to use the "BB Image Code" link exactly like it's shown there.

For example....

Thanks, I was using the insert image icon above, and I did insert the 'bb image code" but it still did not work.

I also tried

Did not work either. It must be something in the setup, strange that other images from another photo hosting site will work using the above method.

And yes we had a nice meal with those fishies

Admin CP => vBulletin Options => Message Posting and Editing Options => Allow Dynamic URL for [IMG] Tags

You'll need to turn that option on in order for the [img] tag to work properly.
