Import Old Gallery to New Gallery...

Hi :-)

I have Gallery running on vbulletin 3.05 @ www.rebreatherworld.com

I have a new test site @ test.rebreatherworld.com

I have done completely clean installs of vb, CMPS, gallery and links - I have imported all users, posts, pms etc etc but wanted to know how to import all my gallery information from the old system to the new....

Must be an easy way I figure - I dont want to upgrade as the old system is very dirty with a bunch of hacks etc - wanted to start form scratch.

Just backup all tables witht the prefix adv_gallery and then restore them to the new database. Then you'll just need to save one of your categories and the permissions for one of your usergroups so that the cache on those will be updated.

Everything came across except the catagory images....any hints / tips ideas?

That may have something to do with the category cache... Try editing one of your categories through the admin cp, save it, and that should update the cache.

No tried that - the whole field for catagory images was actually empty?

Are you sure they were there in the backup? There's no way I can think of that they would just disappear...

which table are they in as every thing else came across...

The info for those is stored in the 'catimage' column of the 'adv_gallery_categories' table.
