question about closing images

If I close an image, it is only visible for Administrators is that correct?
Why doesn't it show anywhere the picture is closed if I do so?
This would make things more easier.
Hm, I see now if I close an image it is still visible for everybody.
I won't delete the images only make them not visible, anybody can help me?

Closing an image is the same as closing a thread, it simply prevents people from being able to reply to it. The reply button will also change to the closed image, the same as on your forums.

Thank you Brian, but is there a possibiliy to remove pictures anywhere to make them invisible for users because I don't want to delete them.

You could move them to a private category.
