Notification of E-card pickup

It is entirely possible that this is a feature that I am overlooking. There are so many options and settings that frequently when I go in to look for one setting, I get distracted by another LOL.

So anyway, I'd really like to be able for the sender to get some kind of receipt when the card that they've sent has been picked up. I'd also like that pickup to be reflected in the admin control panel so that over time as e-cards build up, those that have been viewed may be pruned.

Any ideas?

There should be a "Request read receipt" (or something like that, please excuse me for not checking the exact wording) that your users can check when sending the ecard that will have an email sent to the user once their card has been viewed.
There is an option to delete e-cards after a certain period of time, but there is not currently an option to limit it to only cards that have been viewed.

Thanks Brian, I see it now. "Request an email when your card has been viewed" doh! I've been fiddling so much with the other end of them that I didn't even change the color settings when sending my test cards or anything below that. I promise I'll do better to look more thoroughly before taking up your time.

I still would like to see notification of receipt in the admin cp so that I don't accidentally delete a card that someone hasn't picked up yet. But there's no great hurry. Maybe for vbGallery 6.0 or something.

Welp. Two people picked up cards yesterday but I never got notification (and I made sure to select the option this time).

Maybe I'm just not gritting my teeth right?

I've just double checked and the receipt option does seem to be working fine for me, so I'm not entirely sure what the problem would be for you. If you'd like to submit a support ticket though I'll be glad to take a look.

I submitted a support ticket, but also found that it sends the receipt when the card is sent from a registered member but not when it's sent from an unregistered member.

I have the feeling that you're going to tell me that it's on purpose as it would make sense that potential spammers could then use the gallery to 'validate' email addresses? Am I right? What do I win?

If that is the case, is there any possibility of noting the receipt in the admin control panel? That way we could have notification without worrying about enabling spammers.

Yup, that would be the problem then. We may have some options for ecard receipts for unregistered members in the future, but currently it will not send one.
