Is it possible to let users make subcategories?

For example:

I have premade categories as such:

- 1990
- 1991
- 1992
- 1994

If a user clicks on the upload button it has to be able for him to see an extra inputfield called 'categorie name' wich allows him to create an subcategorie under -1990 or -1991

After he created his album in this subcategorie he just created under let's say -1990, subcategorie called 'Events on Disco last night' more users are able to post there albums in this subcategorie.

Is this possible?

Edit those categories, make sure the 'Allow Users to Create Sub-Categories' option is set to 'Yes', and then make sure that the usergroups you would like to allow to create categories have permission to do so though the 'Usergroup Permissions' link.

What am i doing wrong?

Click on the 'Category Admin' link under the 'My Stuff' menu.
