Sub Cat show differently with index vs browseimages

I have sub cat depth set at two. When going to
http://www.ncwoodworker.net/gallery/index.php
I get what I expect. Notice insomniac's subsats.
Then going to insomniac's category I again get what I think is right.
http://www.ncwoodworker.net/gallery/...mages.php?c=14
But now going to the bread crumbs and backup one level

http://www.ncwoodworker.net/gallery/...images.php?c=4

Notice that insomniac's sub categories now show as top level.?????

Anyone know what's happening here. I must be missing something obvious.

Mine was doing this, I have yet to explain it. It only happened when I tried to edit templates though.

Looks like it's being displayed exactly as it should be to me...

Yes it is, as of this morning, by playing around with the sub category depth, I was able to get it to work. Index Depth =2
Categorybit depth = 1

If i maqke the last number >= 2 then the display shows flat. I have nod idea why.
