watermark based on file type/ size

Sorry if i missed it somewhere but is there no option to choose whether or not to watermark an image based on its size or whether its a gif? I have a couple of small images, about 150x150 which i dont want to watermark. I also dont want to watermark gif's cause it just messes up the whole image most of the time. So how can i do this?

That would be a great option, to be able to set a minimum image size for watermarks and to be able to exclude certain extensions.

I couldn't find such an option either, for now you could create a category for smaller images and gifs and then just don't watermark images under that category, but I like your idea much better.

Another fairly easy way would be to create a larger gif, making the extra space transparent since only images that are larger than the watermark will be watermarked.

Kind of a sloppy solution but i guess it'll work for now, as long as it doesnt reduce the image quality.

I really think this should be an option for future versions though.

That right there is a handy tidbit of information. It makes sense, but not something that is readily apparent.

It seems as if I'd read it somewhere before too, but I'm not sure.
