Building up EXIF informations ?

Hi @all !

I have installed vBa for vB 3.0, and imported my pics from PHotoPost. Unfortunally the switch for EXIF-informations was off, when I imported the photos. (Maybe it wouldn't have worked even with switch EXIF to on)

Is there a way to create now the missing EXIF-informations ? I already run "Rebuild Image Info" in the maintenance-menue, but the infos were not created.

Did I missed something, or is there no function yet, for rebuilding these informations ?

Btw.: When I upload new photos, it works fine and I get all EXIF infotmations.

Try uploading the install file to your admincp directory again and then go to this URL:
http://yoursite.com/forum/admincp/vb...?do=updateexif

A suggestion - put this in the gallery software as a maintenance operation ! I too am/was looking for that feature.

Am I correct in assuming that if my PHP build does NOT have the EXIF option compiled in, then I can't get the EXIF info from the pictures ?

AND I don't see any provision for hooking in an external EXIF reader or some other method of installing an opensource EXIF reader ?
