installing on localhost

I am preparing to upgrade to vB 3.50 so I have reinstalled vB 3.07 cmps and gallery on a developement computer running wamp.

Everything works except for the display of pictures in the gallery. I can view respones and add new responses. I can not upload images. I have checked the properities of the broken images and the path is correct.

The only thing I can think of is I do not have imagemagick or GD compiled, could that be the problem? If so, can someone offer advice on compiling either to work on localhost.

After further investigation, I have discovered the file paths are incorrect. On the live working gallery on my server it shows:

mydomain.com/gallery/files/1/4/5/9/9/DSCF0007_thumb.jpg

and on the localhost it shows

localhost/gallery/files/12933-10wks3_thumb.jpg

I do have the file paths set correctly in the gallery control panel.

Sounds like you've turned on the safe mode option on your localhost.

According to php.ini and phpinfo.php safemode is turned "off"

I get a blank page when I try to upload a image in the gallery. If I try to upload an image within the forum software, it uploads as an attachment instead of a normal thumbnail, I can click on the attachment and see the image.
