override password protected dir's for admins?

a user has his dir password protected. shouldnt admins be allowed to access the directory without having the password? or atleast be able to see the password? that way if he mis-uses the gallery uploading images that need to be taken down, they can be?

can you change the settings in admincp/vba gallery / edit catagories?

You can still view the password for the category by editing the category through your Admin CP, and then use that to enter the category.

That was really hard to check the password and re-enter for each user created category, can we have a hack on this so the admin can check all the file users uploaded to make sure the gallery isn't misused (like posting some illegal files)

Try looking in your forum/includes/functions_gallery.php file for this code:

Content visible to verified customers only.

Right above that, add:

Content visible to verified customers only.

And that should bypass the password check for admins and moderators.
