Upgrade 3.0.0 to 3.5 RC2

I need to upgrade my vbulletin to 3.5 RC2. I have Gallery installed.

Can I carry out all of the vbulletin upgrade scripts till I get to 3.5 RC2, then run the gallery upgrade script. This would avoid me having to edit any code along the way if I understand how addons to 3.5 RC2 work.

Is this possible, or do I need to full install Gallery at any intermittent stage?

Just make any changes you're planning on making to your vB files beforehand, then upload the files for both and run the upgrade scripts.
