Changing the default category image...

Hi all.
I would like to change that category images that the gallery has as a default (the forum ones) to put something more suitable for a gallery. The perfect thing would be to put different ones according to the category...
I have found such an imput filed ("category image") in each category's setting but it does nothing at all!
Please help!

find the image you wish to use as the catgory image and click edit image. From the drop down choose the option to make it the catagory image.

Oh! the image should be in tha gallery?? I don't want it to be in the gallery! I hust wan't the gallery to use another one than the forum ones! See what I mean here: http://www.myphone.gr/gallery/

Upload the images you would like to use to your /gallery/files/ folder and then just enter the name of the image in the 'Category Image' field when editing your categories.

yes but I want to use different one if the category has or has not new images! I searched the templates but the only thing I was able to change about it was the legend at the bottom!Please help, I want to finally open it to my members, they keep asking for it!

Sorry, I misunderstood what you were asking about here. Look in your includes/functions_gallery.php file for this code:

Change 'old' there to 'gallery_old', 'new' to 'gallery_new', create a 'gallery_new.gif' and 'gallery_old.gif' that you would like to use, and upload them to your forum/images/statusicon folder.

I had to change the php as you said but then I had to name the pictures forum_gallery_old.gif not just gallery_old.gif.
Oh whatever, it works like a charm now!!

Let you know what? I did try it and it works as I said above
