replaced images changing name Hello, Was not sure where to post this (suggestions or how-to). When you view an image within the gallery and decide to replace it, the image name is changed. Example: I am viewing myimage.jpg
After replacing the image (say with smaller dimension)
I am not sure what the 6 digit number is for. Maybe you didn't want to delete original file until new file was completely setup. Is the number random? Keeping the original syntax (without the 6digit#) would allow me to do some mods that I have been thinking about, plus it would leave more intuitive file names. Anyone know how I can change this? |
Re: replaced images changing name The number is just a randomly generated number to prevent duplicate images from being posted. And as you said, we feel it's better not to replace the original image until after the new image has been through the error checking process, which can't be done until the image has been uploaded to the server. |
Re: replaced images changing name One thing I was hoping to do by losing the random numbers was create a new copy/paste bbcode form when viewing an image in the gallery. Something that would show the thumbnail in a post, and link to the normal image in the gallery. Is there an easy way to do this? |
