...teach the Gallery to snip an image off the web?

I have users with images scattered all over, the gallery is now up and running and we are trying to populate it, getting rid of picturetrail and stuff like that which breaks.

So, there's an image, somewhere on the web.

Is there no way the the gallery could accept the url in order to grab this image when you want to add images?

Right now I have to save it to hd first. Pain in the butt.

I just want to grab it and move on without the inbetween steps.

Can do?

Gallery doesn't have that feature currently.

vBulletin 3.5 has this feature when attaching files to a post; you can specify a URL to the file and it will copy it from that location. So, I would assume that Gallery will have this feature eventually.
