questions about original file when uploading via ftp

Please clarify something for me...
If you upload a bunch of files to your gallery via ftp, they go to the server as-is originally, right?
Then, you move (upload) them from the server into the actual gallery, and they get resized and renamed and so on.
The original (large) files are all left on the server? They should then be deleted from the user directory once they have been successfully imported in the Gallery, to reduce unnecessary and redundant files on the server, is that correct?

Perhaps this delete process could be an option during the 'upload files directly from server' process in future updates, if so.

Re: questions about original file when uploading via ftp

The files should already be removed from the /gallery/users/x folder after they are processed.

Glad it is not just me!! Pictures in the users directories still have to be manually removed after they are processed, both after the RC4 upgrade and before.

You may need to chmod the folder and/or the files to 777.
