Giant Image on ShowImage.php

Hello there, I would like to reduce the size of all images bigger than a certain size, but make it so that when you click on it, the full size pops up

I have the original images in new window enabled, but that doesnt help with the size

Re: Giant Image on ShowImage.php

Blaminator,

If I'm following correctly.....

You want to specify the max size for each of your file types (eg: JPG you might specify a max of 640x480), turn on "Keep Originals" and then turn on "Open originals in a new window".

That way if a person uploads a wallpaper with a resolution of 1024x768 they'll first see the thumbnail in the index. When they click the thumbnail they'll then see the 640x480 version within your site's style. If they then want to view the original sized image if they click on it then the original 1024x768 image will open up in a new window.

Re: Giant Image on ShowImage.php

Is there anyway to have the current pictures in the gallery resized to the 'mid-thumbnail'?

The reason for this is I imported pictures from another gallery and that gallery had a function that dynamically resized the picture to the mid-thumbnail. Now I would like to resize the pictures I have without having to do all of them by hand.

Re: Giant Image on ShowImage.php

You can have up to 3 different sized images - The thumbnail, the "normal" image, and the original (if you've selected to save original images). If you need to resize your current images, first make sure you have the dimensions set as you would like through the 'Edit Filetypes' link in the Admin CP, then go to the 'Maintenance' link select the option to rebuild your image sizes (be sure to select 'Normal Images' from the select box), and that should resize them for you.
