Re: homepage link

That option adds a link to your homepage, not your forum.

Re: homepage link

Are you talking about the Gallery's navbar or Vb's navbar? The gallery navbar is supposed to point to the index page of the Gallery. There is nothing to "fix".

Re: homepage link

im talkin about the vb nav bar in the gallery/index.php
all the link in the vb nav bar is pointing to forum/gallery/file.php
while it should point to forum/file.php

Re: homepage link

zenithrs@bigpon, this is not what im looking for
ok I will show you what I mean
goto www.radioonev5.com/forumvb/gallery
and rollover the header's buttons: usercp - faq - members
these links should be pointing to: /forum/faq.php
but instead it's pointing to: /forum/gallery/faq.php
and in this case the faq.php doesn't exist in the gallery directory

how can I fix this error ? :S

Re: homepage link

I think that may be because you installed your gallery inside your forum directory. I would move your gallery install to the root of your server.

Snitz May 13th, 2005 10:57 AM

Re: homepage link

ooooohhh, If I moved it now after the installation, would it matter or something ?

Brian May 13th, 2005 11:11 AM

Re: homepage link

It's because those links are in your header when they are typically in your navbar in a default vB installation. If you edit your gallery options, copy the list of files in your 'Navbar Replacements' option, and place those in your 'Header Replacements' option then that should take care of the problem.

Shouldn't. You will have to change the paths, but it should be ok.

Yea, or this way.

Re: homepage link

I just moved the /gallery/ into the main root
and now whenever I rollover the header's buttons, it points to, let's say if I wanna goto search.php
it points to: http://mysite.com/gallery/search.php while it should point to
http://mysite.com/forum/search.php

what's wrong ? :S

I didn't understand a thing :\

Re: homepage link

I did as brian said and it worked but the header's image was still pointing to gallery/index.php but I want it to point to my forum's index.php
I removed /gallery/ into my forum's directory and it got broke again
can't it work while the /gallery/ is in the /forum/ root ?

Brian May 13th, 2005 11:39 AM

Re: homepage link

You would need to edit your header template and change where the link is pointing there.

Snitz May 13th, 2005 11:44 AM

Re: homepage link

so the gallery must be in the root directory otherwise it won't work ?!!!!

Snitz May 13th, 2005 11:48 AM

Re: homepage link

oh it worked!!!
but the gallery is on the root directory
but it's ok, not a big deal :D

Brian May 13th, 2005 11:57 AM

Re: homepage link

The gallery can be placed wherever you would like.
