Best palce to install gallery?

Where is the best place to install gallery? Right now my forum is located at forum.domain.com and I was thinking of installing the gallery at gallery.domain.com. Does it really matter or would it have to be set up under domain.com/forum/gallery?

either way will work fine. I installed mine at domain.com/gallery. Just cuz. But either will work. The actual file structure is the same whether you install it in a folder or a subdomain.
