Alphabetizing and ordering the categories on the index page

Hi Everyone,

Hope you can help. I cannot control the appearance order of the forums.

Lets say I have 3 main separate (no parent) categories

Joining the gallery
Member galleries (with may sub-categories ie members)
Contests

Given that I hope there will be a lot of members I have chosen ADMIN CP- > VBA GALLERY - >Category Display Order - >Alphabetically (I think this is a must since otherwise I would have to reorder EACH new member as they joined)

This is perfect for the members galleries forum, but has the effect of Alphabetizing the rest of the categories as well.

In this example let's say I want to make 'Contests' The 3rd category to appear. I cannot do it because it always makes it the top category.

Even if I change the display order, so that 'contests' is 3, it does not work because all the categories are alphabetized.

Can anyone help?

If you have your Member galleries category set to 'Act as Members Category' then the 'categories' created under there will automatically be alphabetized by the usernames.
