I have two categories with identical settings except one of them does not act as member category.

Main Category displays the subcategories on first page
So does the Member Categories.

When you click on Main Catego, it displays the subcatego inside
When you click on Member Catego, it tells you it's empty. I'd like for it to be like the Main, displaying the subcatego folders and when you click on it it lists the subcatego in there, just like main. I can only do that when it is not acting as member category.

As far as mages to display, I'd like with the above setup, when you click on Main Category or Member Category, for it to display the latest 3 or 4 thumbs in that category, from the subcategories, just like the front page is displaying the latest uploads, instead of no images to display.

If it can't, why is it displaying the category tools, prompting for a slide show with broken images? If a Category cannot pull info from its subcatego, then the user tools should not appear.

You must have changed things since this post as it's not appearing that way now. When a category is set as a members' category though those subfolders are not going to appear on the main page, they are going to appear under the category that is created for the user which it is assigned to.

There isn't currently an option for that.
