Do you have it set to watermark images permanently? If not, then it will only work for new images uploaded.

Not sure what it would be then assuming the path is correct. I'll take a look real quick though since you still have your support ticket open.

*Edit*

Looks like the problem is that you're trying to use a .gif image with GD as your resizing program. You need to change it to a .png or use ImageMagick as your resizing program.

I'm having the same problem. Can't get watermarks to work.

Me too. I have installed most recent version of GD2.
Also made sure path is correct, but still, it just won't work.
I made a png file, tried gif, jpg... nothing works.
One thing to mention is that I am running it all on IIS server.
But everything else works, forum, gallery, creation of thumbnails... whole nine yards, except this.
Can someone help?

Make sure your watermark is smaller than your image.

Im having the exact same issue, no matter what i do to try to fix this, its not working, im using a png aswell...

/usr/local/apache/www/crazyapes/majorfmforum.com/htdocs/images/gallery/watermark/watermark.png

I have done everything correctly and checked it over and over again... still doesn't work!

To be honest, I don't remember for sure. I know there have been some issues with watermarks in previous versions though, and you're 2 behind the current version, so that would be a good place to start.

are there any bugs in the new version that will need fixing...? sorry to go off subject... i have had bad experiences with upgrading other stuff and tend to stay away from upgrades unless its essential.

Every version of every major script is going to have bugs. One of the main points of releasing new versions though is to fix currently known bugs.

exactly my point...

I tried to upgrade and got the following error on the 2nd step
