Gallery Conditional....

Hi

I am trying to get the random image module on my CMPS page not to show images from a certain gallery category, and I believe I can do this via a template conditional if I knew what the variable name was.

Does anyone know what the syntax of this might be please..?

EDIT: Sorry - I guess I should have posted this request in the actual Random Gallery Image thread... I will copy this to it... MODS can you delete this one please... thanks.

Indeed Brian you did... just so this thread can be completed, this is what I did according to Brians instructions...

In gallery_random.php find

Content visible to verified customers only.

and replace with ...

Content visible to verified customers only.

... where in my case the 29 is the category I excluded. If you want more, seperate the CategoryID's with ", N" - comma space ID

Hiding certain categories from being shown on the Gallery index page is a different set of code.

I dont want to hide it, but dont want images from it to show on new/random images.
My site is a photo site, and I have a cataory for lessons and tests, so people can post to it and copy the link on the forum to discuss it

Showing test images on main index has no meaning, as sometimes you have same image with different setting, so I dont want to fill the index with these images
