install the main gallery folder to another folder
 

I want to install the main "gallery" folder to another folder like "pictures". What do I need to change to make that work? How many files/etc?

You can install it wherever you like. Just put the correct paths in the settings when you configure it.

I'm not sure if I uderstand you, but I want the gallery url to be http://site.com/pictures instead of http://site.com/gallery.. I don't want it to be http://site.com/pictures/gallery

Where do I make the changes?

When you unzip the file on your local PC just rename the folder "gallery" to "pictures" before you upload the files (or rename it on your server if you've already uploaded the files) and then change the settings that Congsoft listed.

you can install anyfolder you like but i advice not to run the gallery under a subdomain cause you will always get unknown location in wol :)
