Question about Category Owner
 

If a user is the owner of a category (for example, one they created themselves), and they allow others to upload to that category, will they then be able to edit/delete those images uploaded by others, since they own that category?

I guess my question is, are users technically automatically a "moderator" of any category they "own"? And if not, shouldn't they be?

No, they do not have any additional permissions.

Shouldn't they, though? I mean, they have the power to empty and delete the category all together, so doesn't it make sense for them to be able to remove any image?

Good point... The won't have those options if they aren't set in the admin cp though. I'll see about adding an option to allow this in the next version though.

Thanks, I appreciate it.

Would this would also give that user access to the Admin section of the Image Tools dropdown for any image that was in a category they own? (So they could set the image Sticky, or set it as a Category Image, etc.) They miss those options. :)

Yes. There is an option now to give category owners moderator powers.
