Problem with Category Image not being displayed

Hi All

I have set up an image as per ACP --> vBa Gallery --> Edit Categories --> {select category} Edit Category --> Image but it doesn't show any image on any category I set up images for.

I simply don't see the image entered in the Image field.

When I select "Act as Category" to no - I see nothing where the image should be and when I select "Act as Category" to yes -I see a blank space where the image should be.

Any ideas?

You need to place the image somewhere in your /gallery/files directory and then link to it using the rest of the path. So if you placed the image in /gallery/files/catimages then you would add '/catimages/imagename.jpg' as the image.

Sorry Brian... I am still not seeing anything. I uploaded a file called 25.gif to the gallery folder and put 25.gif in the Image field... but still nothing.

I still only see a blank space where an image should be.

You've got your gallery turned off to guests, so I can't view the page to see what the problem is. Could you either post the info for a test account or just submit a support ticket?

Looks as though I can now see the images Brian - though I am not sure what I did differently... weird...

However, which is the template that I must amend to change the width of the cell where the category images are placed. At the moment it looks as though it is set at 150 which is the same as the thumbnail width - does this use the same variable to set the width?

I only intend to have narrower images in there and so would want to use a fixed cell width of say 50 px, or have the width of the cell picked up from the width of the contained image (which would be cell width = 100% yeah??)
