Help with Permissions on who needs their uploads approved and who can approve.
 

First Off Great Mod isnt it!

I am Currently Running VB 3.05 CMPS 1 and RC2 of Gallery - not going to upgrade Gallery until V1 unless I have to...

I have it up and running over at www.rebreatherworld.com

I have a Question.....

First of all - How can I set it so none of the moderators (or any other group) need their uploads approved - eh they are uploaded and then just published straight away - can I get an idiots guide as I thought I has User Permissions and Cat Permission done but to no avail.

Secondly How can I allow My mods to approve uploads, currently only admins can approve.

Admin CP => vBa Gallery => Usergroup Permissions => Moderate this group's images

Make sure that option is set to 'No' for each group that you do not wish to moderate.

As for allowing mods to approve images, you'll need to add them as a moderator for each category you want them to be able to approve image for. Or, if you upgrade to RC3, super mods are automatically allowed to approve images.

Admin CP => vBa Gallery => Edit Categories => Add Moderator

I have made the changes EXACTLY as you describied but my moderators images still need approving....

Double check that you changed that setting for your moderators as there shouldn't be any reason it would require moderation for them if you've changed this.

got exactly the same problem , i set all permissions to not need approval yet still every image and post needs approving.
can you please help. is it a bug?
im using rc4 which i bought last night.

There shouldn't be any reason why they would need to be approved if you have the permissions set properly. If you'd like to submit a support ticket via the Members' Area here though I'll be glad to take a look.

Using any secondary usergroups? A YES on a secondary useregroup for Moderation would override the NO on their primary usergroup.
